Long story short
Stirling Ultracold partnered with Luxid to answer a critical question: Was paid media actually driving real sales opportunities? By implementing a practical attribution approach and closely analyzing lead quality, Luxid helped directly connect marketing investment to revenue outcomes, giving Stirling the confidence to scale investment toward channels and campaigns proven to drive meaningful business growth.
About Stirling Ultracold
Stirling Ultracold designs and manufactures ultra‑low temperature freezers used by pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations to safely store critical biological materials. Known for reliable performance and energy efficiency, Stirling’s solutions support laboratories, biorepositories, and life sciences innovators worldwide.
Challenge
Stirling Ultracold’s leadership team wanted clear answers about marketing performance, but the infrastructure needed to provide them didn’t yet exist.
At the time, Stirling did not have a CRM in place, and internal revenue tracking offered little visibility into how digital advertising influenced pipeline or closed business. While paid media was generating lead volume, the team lacked confidence in whether those leads represented legitimate sales opportunities or low‑value inquiries such as service requests. Without attribution or lead quality insight, it was difficult to know which channels were truly driving value that could justify larger investments.
Solution
Luxid took a practical, data‑first approach designed to work within Stirling’s existing systems while creating meaningful insights.
Rather than waiting for CRM implementation, Luxid enhanced Stirling’s website lead forms with hidden attribution fields, automatically capturing each visitor’s source, medium, and campaign. Over several months, this data was collected and exported for deeper analysis. Luxid manually reviewed every lead, categorizing them based on whether they represented a legitimate sales opportunity or non‑sales inquiry.
To close the loop between marketing and revenue, Luxid worked directly with Stirling’s sales team to understand close rates and average deal values for qualified leads. These inputs were used to build visual dashboards that revealed which channels, campaigns, and keywords consistently generated high‑quality demand and which did not.
Insights from this analysis informed the paid media strategy. Campaigns that reliably drove qualified leads were prioritized and scaled, while those generating lower‑quality inquiries were de‑emphasized. Luxid also incorporated trade media programs to support thought leadership and awareness goals, using these placements to fuel upper‑funnel visibility and reinforce credibility.
Results
Paid media was shown to be a meaningful driver of business growth. Analysis revealed that paid campaigns generated roughly 50% of all qualified website leads, with approximately 70% meeting sales‑qualification criteria. These insights directly informed campaign prioritization and supported a near‑doubling of paid media investments to capture additional revenue opportunities.
